Probably! You can look it up with your Pokedex or ask Nurse Joy to make sure, but he looks like he probably does.

Well they have to have their own Pokeballs even when you hatch them. Otherwise they're just the same as wild pokemon, and someone else could come and catch them. Keeping them in Pokeballs is like putting a collar on them. So that other trainers know they're yours.

It also protects them if they get hurt in battle, and makes it easier to carry them back to the Pokemon Center.
