How many people here are artists? Like the drawer kind specially but if you make other stuff that counts too.

If you draw what do you draw? Are you good at it?

I want to know how to get better at drawing.

I've been drawing since I was little. Now I mostly paint, but that still takes sketching things out first, so the same skills apply.

[Once they hear art talk, Neku's Smeargle, plural Smeargle, all pile on camera to see as well. The two adults, and the puppy all wanting to give their input]

I hated hearing this when I first started, but honestly? Practice.

[Molly's hanging out with him drawing herself, just idly stretched out on her bed with Scott obnoxiously draped right over her back like a warm scarf. Ember is curled up between her arms under her chin. Which is awesome, cause it's still kinda cold out.]

[When her gear beeps and she goes to look at it, she hadn't actually realized that Shaun had been typing to begin with, so she shoots him a look when she recognises his user ID.]

[And then returns to her drawing.]

Tell me if you get any good tips. I want to get better too.

I draw a little, sometimes. I wouldn't say I'm good enough at it to teach someone else, though...

[He draws so little it barely really counts, but anyway.]

There isn't really anything specific I draw when I do. Is there something you're trying to get better at?

I don't draw. It never really interested me, and there's never been that much time for me to do it.

[As much as she didn't want to be a downer, she moved on.]

I did know someone that wanted to make art. He seemed really good at it, and drew everything he saw.

i draw! it's mostly buildings, since that was my job, but i draw other things as well. i've been told i'm very good at it, but it's very difficult to judge your own art objectively.

a lot of it is observation. observation and practice! nothing comes of giving up halfway, after all!

Sort of? I'm not that great. I used to draw birds, but now I mostly just draw the Pokémon I see.

I draw when I need to, honestly. But if you want to get better just practice drawing everything you see. I hear that helps.

[Practice is fun and boring all at the same time.]
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

I've been drawing and painting since I was young, and while it came rather naturally to me it's definitely the sort of thing you have to practice.

What are you looking to draw specifically? If you're looking to specialize in people or Pokemon, I'm sure there are books on anatomy that you can find that would be helpful in that regard. It's not as good as live subjects, but it's a good way to familiarize yourself with the basics.

a bunch of other people probably already said this but i guess if drawin is like learning to do anything else, practice makes perfect, right?

so i figure if you draw like one thing every day at least, you'll start getting better at it

I draw a little bit but I'm not that great at it. I'm a little better at things like landscapes and stuff over things like actual people or pokemon. I'm probably echoing everyone else here but it's like they've said; practice. My trees used to look like stick figures for a long time.

I've been interested in art since I was a child. I mostly do portraits and figure drawing. I can provide you with some tips and examples if you need help.

[While he isn't great with kids... kids interested in art? He can deal with that.]

I like to draw, too!

Garry said that you have to practice a lot....and not give up, even if you draw the same thing 500 times!
