[It's the middle of the afternoon, and Shaun has something very important to share.]

[The camera pans over to a rather proud-looking Floatzel and a Mightyena who's sitting loyally and staring at the Pokegear (really, at the boy holding it) with a curious head tilt, her tail wagging against the ground.]

Susie and Richie evolved! Look how big they are! Isn't that awesome?

[Forgive him, he's still at the self-centered age where he's relatively positive that almost everyone cares about his accomplishments. Or his pokemon's accomplishments, as it were. Also, Mightyena are rumored to only obey experienced trainers, so this kid must be no pushover to have her panting happily and butting her head against his hand when he reaches out from behind the Pokegear to scratch her behind the ear.]

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have to keep my pokémon in line though, most of my other one's don't really bother. Wish I knew why, they'd be a pretty big help in doing so.

[She nods.]

Yeah. Everything's harder in real life then it is in a game. But you're still having fun with the training at least, right?

I-I mean, we work as a team. And everybody gets along pretty well. Susie's kind of in charge, because she's the oldest and the biggest right now. I mean, they still listen to me, so I think I'm doing it right?

Yeah, it's lots of fun. Blaze doesn't like battling much, but everyone else really enjoys it. How's your team doing?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think part of the problem with my team not keeping each other in line is that one of the ones who causes most of the problems with it... is my starter. I mean, he'll listen to me in battles, but he still likes battling almost all the time.

But for the most part, my team's doing okay. My Pikachu and Umbreon want to train a lot more, and my Charizard's pretty lazy. But we've all been together for a while now, and we're going to really start kicking up our training in a few days once we leave for Celedon to go visit the Training Center there.

I think most Pokemon like battling at least a little bit. Maybe he's just really eager to make you proud of him?

There's a training center in Celadon? That's so cool! Your Pokemon will have a lot of fun, I'm sure. Does that mean you're in...Kanto? Right now?

Maybe he did. But he doesn't really need to work that hard.

And yeah, there is. I'm not in Kanto yet, but I'm planning to leave in a couple of days.

I wasn't saying he needed to, maybe he just wants to. Have you tried asking him?

You'll have to tell me how it is, okay? I won't be able to get there for a while. Don't forget about me while you're over there!

Yeah, I have. But so far all I really got out of him is that he really likes to fight.

But yeah, I'll let you know how it is. And I definitely won't forget about you Shaun, that's a promise.
